I joined the 4-month Advanced Digital Marketing course at Digital Scholar, India’s first agency-styled learning institute founded by Social Media Guru Sorav Jain. My experience was transformative and eye-opening, providing me with practical skills and industry insights that are invaluable in the digital marketing landscape.
DM Strategy and Funnel Building: Rishi Sir’s energy and enthusiasm were contagious. He introduced us to many useful tools and shared valuable insights in a simple and engaging manner. His approach to teaching AI prompts was particularly noteworthy, ensuring we understood and could apply them in everyday language rather than using complex jargon.
Sales Funnel: Learning how to build sales funnels was a highlight for me. The concept of using lead magnets like free e-books and templates was fascinating. Understanding the customer’s mindset through these tools helped me see how effective funnel building can be in driving conversions.
FB Ads: The FB Ads module, taught by Sorav Jain himself, was a game-changer. Sorav’s expertise and passion for digital marketing shone through as he demonstrated how even a low-budget ad campaign can significantly impact a business. His teachings opened up a world of possibilities, showing us that strategic advertising can revive even struggling businesses.
Landing Page: Creation Creating landing pages was an exciting part of the course. I was thrilled by the hands-on approach, where we built our landing pages from scratch. This practical experience reinforced my learning and gave me the confidence to create effective landing pages independently.
Automations: Automation was another favorite module. Sanskar introduced us to a stack of incredible tools that could automate various business processes, making operations more efficient. The ability to automate tasks and run a business in “flight mode” was a revelation, showing how technology can significantly streamline workflows.
Canva Designing: The Canva Designing module was a creative delight. Learning to enhance presentations with simple transitions and elements was eye-opening. We also learned how to design posts quickly and effectively, making our social media content more engaging.
Content Writing: Content writing was an essential skill I honed during the course. We were taught how to create compelling content for blogs, social media posts, and websites. The seamless integration of AI with human creativity was a key takeaway, showing how technology can aid in content creation without losing the human touch.
Social Media Marketing: The Social Media Marketing (SMM) module was curated with passion and precision. We learned how to create engaging reels with simple actions, hooks, and calls to action. The success stories of influencers who built their brands through quality content were particularly inspiring. We also focused on LinkedIn marketing, learning how to optimize profiles, create compelling posts, and engage with the professional community to build a strong personal brand.
Website Development: Karthik Sir’s calm and passionate teaching style made learning website development a breeze. His clear explanations and practical approach helped me understand the fundamentals of building and maintaining a website. This module equipped me with the skills to create functional and aesthetically pleasing websites.
SEO: It was another critical component of the course. Karthik Sir simplified complex SEO concepts, making them accessible and easy to implement. Learning to create SEO-friendly content and websites was invaluable, as it highlighted the importance of organic growth in maintaining a robust online presence and boosting sales.
Google Ads: Daksh Sir’s insights into Google Ads were both fun and informative. His engaging teaching style made complex concepts easy to grasp. The practical tips and tricks we learned were instrumental in understanding how to leverage Google Ads for business growth.
Freelancing: The freelancing module opened up a new world of opportunities. We were taught the steps and techniques to start freelancing and gain clients. This module provided a solid foundation for anyone looking to venture into freelancing, highlighting the potential for a rewarding career path.
Dual Certifications and Placement Assistance:
One of the standout features of Digital Scholar is the dual certifications they offer. Completing the course not only enhances your skills but also boosts your credibility in the job market. Additionally, Digital Scholar provides placement assistance, helping students secure jobs and kickstart their careers in digital marketing.
Practical Learning and Assignments:
The most significant aspects of the Digital Scholar course was the emphasis on practical learning. After each module, we completed assignments that reinforced our understanding. These assignments were a mix of individual and group tasks, fostering collaboration and independent thinking. I’m particularly grateful for the friendships and bonds formed with my peers, especially our Agency 1 team. We had so many fun activities like quiz and Breakout Sessions. We also had Guest Lectures from various Professionals who gave great insights on our industry and shared tips on what works best for the real-world scenarios. We gave few exams as well. Running Facebook Ads that generated 12 leads for a high-budget project and creating a website and landing page for my brother’s business were some of the things I enjoyed more. The hands-on experience was invaluable, providing real-world applications of the skills we learned.
Reflections:
Looking back, I sometimes wished I had opted for the offline course, imagining the added excitement and engagement it could have brought. Nevertheless, the online experience was thoroughly enjoyable and enriching. The nearly five-month journey was packed with learning, growth, and memorable interactions.
