Here’s How Much My Faceless YouTube Channel Made in 2023

I’ve written before about my faceless YouTube channel. I’ve even given ideas on how you could create your own.

With the rise of AI and with many trying to make a quick buck, it’s no wonder people might be feeling dubious about creating a YouTube channel.

My channel is faceless meaning… that’s it… I don’t show my face. You can hear my voice and I explain things on screen. It’s an educational channel. So the Adsense I earn is based on the fact I deliver educational content. Meaning the amount advertisers are willing to pay sits at around $2.50 per 1000 views. Educational content doesn’t earn megabucks, but it’s not one of the worst categories out there.

I wanted to keep my YouTube channel faceless for several reasons but mainly, I don’t want to be an influencer, I just wanted to share my knowledge and maybe make a little side income in the process. I got my channel is monetized in just four months and since then I’ve been earning a regular Adsense pay check.

So let’s get to it… the reason why you’re here!

How much did my YouTube channel make from Adsense in 2023?

At the time of taking this screenshot, you can see this is an estimated revenue amount, but the final won’t be far off.

So, in 2023, from Adsense alone, I made around £5600 or about $7100.

Here’s the breakdown in months, in case you were interested:

You can see here that how much I earned didn’t fluctuate too much, despite some months posting far more than others.

You might be wondering why this is, well, it can be lots of contributing factors, including:

  • Time of the year — some advertisers will pay more in the run up to Christmas or around Black Friday, for example (which explains why November is higher).
  • One video can pop off — I might post less in one particular month, but I might earn more from one video alone than the 5 6 or 7 I post another month.
  • External factors — Someone might share one of my videos or shorts on their channel and then I get an influx of visitors which means more Ad revenue for me!

The next question I get asked a lot is…

How many views did I get from my faceless YouTube channel in 2023?

Well…

So, I earned around $7,000 in Adsense from over 2 millions views on my educational faceless YouTube channel.

How I plan to make more money from my Faceless YouTube channel in 2024

In 2024, I’m thinking about making more cash by:

  • Launching a Patreon page, or similar — Though Patreon takes a cut, there are ways I could share my content, and add some extra bits with little effort, and make some extra money. I just have to see if the demand is there.
  • Developing YouTube memberships — As more people pay for YouTube premium in a bid to cut out ads, people are also becoming more conformtable with spending money on platform and this includes paying for memberships for certain channels. As with Patreon, YouTube takes a cut, but by allowing members to have early access to content, stickers, and more, I can slowly build up my earnings.
  • Affiliate marketing — I have tried this before and it didn’t really take off (I made $10!) but I’ll give it another go and try different products and an updated strategy.

So, there you have it. Thaat’s how much I made last year. Let’s see what 2024 holds!
